Position Summary:

Rowan-Cabarrus Community College seeks a Director of Student Records, Registrar who will report to the Executive Director of Student Success. The Director of Student Records, Registrar provides overall leadership in the Student Records Office. Responsibilities include maintenance and data integrity of all academic records, development and implementation of new student record systems, registration, and grade reporting processes, supervision of all employees in the Student Records Office, and oversight of all day-to-day office functions.

Required Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in education, business, counseling, or related field and 4 years of Higher Education work-related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the job’s essential duties.

Preferred Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Master’s degree in education, business, counseling or related field.
  • North Carolina Community College Office of the Registrar Experience.
  • Ellucian’s Colleague/Datatel Database Management System Experience

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to use technology tools for communication, records management, student records, reporting and training.
  • Familiarity with SIS software – Ellucian (Colleague), Banner
  • Familiarity with International Student Admissions
  • Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills
Problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational, supervisory and management skills.

Duty and Responsibility:

  • Serve as the data trustee for the Student Information System (Colleague).

Duty and Responsibility:

  • Maintain confidentiality of student information with supervisors, staff, and other employees of the college by assuring faculty and staff are informed of Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act. Enforce and ensure adherence to the academic policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements of the College.

Duty and Responsibility:

  • Manage all data elements related to student records, as well as provide professional development and support for areas of the college whose staff advise and register curriculum students

Duty and Responsibility:

  • Manage all systems, processes, and procedures related to term-based enrollment and registration activities while ensuring compliance with state, federal and NCCCS record auditing procedures and guidelines.

Duty and Responsibility:

  • Serves as the Designated School Official (DSO-F1) for international students, maintaining the Student Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) and all related certification requirements for students and faculty. Serves as an international education program liaison to the business office and third-party billing.

Duty and Responsibility:

  • Supervise staff responsible for Curriculum student records maintenance including application processing, high school transcript evaluation, course withdrawals, program changes, grade certification and changes, academic probation process, and verifying scholastic honors.

Duty and Responsibility:

  • Collaborate and support the Assessment and Credit for Prior Learning Center with graduation and credential process and evaluation of college transfer credit.

  • Responsible for the ongoing evaluation of all student processes to improve efficient and effective service to our students and community.

Duty and Responsibility:

  • Collaborate with other divisions of the college, including Academic Programs, Corporate and Continuing Education, and the colleges Information Systems Division to ensure adequate updates and processes are in place for day-to-day operations; to include reviewing and testing patches required for maintenance and updates to the NC Community College System Office Ellucian system.

Duty and Responsibility:

  • Manage day to day operations of the Registrar’s Office, including timely delivery of all local, state, and federal student records reporting and verification.

Duty and Responsibility:

  • Collaborate with the Institutional Effectiveness Office to track and gather data to assist with enrollment projections.
