Essential Functions
- Identify, cultivate, and play lead role in soliciting and closing major gifts that generate donations primarily from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
- Research and assess potential grant opportunities among funders and assist in the development of compelling grand applications.
- Recommend and implement major gifts cultivation and solicitation strategies.
- Plan and implement donor stewardship strategies, events, and activities to further engage major gift donors and prospects.
- Research potential donors.
- Monitor regular activity to achieve individual performance measures.
- Track and report relationship management activity using Bloomerang and Greater Giving constituent relationship management systems. Secure donations and participate in the development of the annual Gift of Life fundraising dinner and auction.

Puget Sound Kidney Centers Foundation is dedicated to advancing charitable support of the Puget Sound Kidney Centers. Support helps PSKC patients receive high quality, compassionate care. The Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors committed to building a community of support for PSKC and the patients they serve.

We are seeking an experienced and highly professional individual to join the PSKC Foundation team as a Major Gifts Officer. You will be responsible for the development and implementation of a strategic gift solicitation plan for generating major gifts from high-level donors and prospects in support of Puget Sound Kidney Centers’ (PSKC) mission to enhance the quality of life of those with kidney disease.
The Major Gifts Officer works under the supervision of the Foundation Executive Director, and works collaboratively with PSKC’s President and CEO, staff and volunteers to develop and implement strategies to grow major gift support among Individuals, foundations and corporations. The primary objective of the Major Gifts Officer is to build meaningful relationships with donors and prospects with the purpose of cultivating, soliciting and closing four, five, six and seven figure gifts.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university is required.
- 3 to 5 years successful, demonstrated experience in major or planned gift fundraising, preferably in healthcare, or significant comparable work in sales, marketing, or other client-management professions. Experience with constituent relationship management system, such as Bloomerang, is preferred.
Location & Hours
Work is primarily conducted Monday-Friday during regular business hours at the PSKC Foundation office in Shoreline, WA. Occasional travel to other PSKC facilities and events is required. Occasional weekend and evening work in support of donor cultivation and events is required.
Flexibility for a hybrid work schedule is available with supervisor approval.
Compensation & Benefits
This is a hourly, full-time (40 hours/week), non-exempt position that is eligible for overtime. Annual compensation offered is $70,000 - $90,000. The full wage range is $70,000-$115,000 annually. Wage offers are determined based on multiple factors including previous experience in the same or similar role
Employees are eligible for performance-based pay increases at the time of their annual employment anniversary.
