Primary Purpose:

Explores and examines data from multiple disparate sources and identify the most important issues / opportunities to address to optimize marketing, outreach and customer experience. Works on the most complex problems. Expert in computer science and applications, modeling, statistics, leading edge quantitative techniques involving data mining, marketing, and experimental design; coupled with strong business acumen. Structures analytical approaches and develops project strategies and tactics. Develops recommendations for optimizing business and financial performance. Consults with internal and external clients on a wide range of issues related to goals, customer offerings and campaign effectiveness. Collaborates cross-departmentally to align strategy and direction with corporate and departmental approaches, systems, information and support.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Formulate mathematical or simulation models of problems, relating constants and variables, restrictions, alternatives, conflicting objectives, and their numerical parameters for complex problems.
  • Act in a lead capacity or as primary point of contact with clients regarding complex business problems.
  • Collaborate with others in the organization and external to the organization to ensure successful implementation of campaigns, products and services.
  • Analyze information obtained from management to conceptualize and define operational problems. Identify the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts. Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  • Provides insight to problems and mentoring of other analytics staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).

Hybrid Schedule:

  • Although the schedule may vary, typically this will allow the employee to work onsite three days per week and remotely on the remaining workdays.
  • Must reside in Southern California or be willing to relocate upon hire.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 10+ years related experience.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, analysis, and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate abstract ideas clearly and independently manage complex project objectives.
  • Extensive knowledge of and ability to manage statistical analysis and financial modeling.
  • Advanced business acumen, technical knowledge within at multiple business units, and extensive knowledge in applications and technologies.
  • Very strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation, and influence.
  • Excellent project management skills, including project structuring and managing multiple work streams independently.
  • Strong relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting.
  • Ability to identify and draw on leading-edge analytical tools and techniques to develop creative approaches and new insights to client issues.
  • Ability to independently draft and present client deliverables, recommendations, and marketing strategies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience leading projects, improvement initiatives in management consulting, corporate strategy, market research or other relevant industry.
  • Experience with SQL highly preferred, or other coding languages.
  • Experience with PowerBI or other Business Intelligence tools.
