Job Roles
- Supervise PACE Drivers in providing oversight of patient cases, tracking deliverables for assigned PACE Transportation Program.
- Ensure efficient deployment of drivers through conducting analysis of overall transportation system operations.
- Coordinate and schedule transportation assignments of PACE attendees.
- Ensure communication channels are clear and drivers follow through as directed.
- Organize routes and schedule daily transportation for PACE attendees to and from the PACE Center.
- Coach and counsel staff and administer appropriate disciplinary action in a timely manner.
- Respond appropriately to needs as identified by the interdisciplinary Care Team.
- Oversee daily operations, managing staffing schedules, calendaring, and liaising with community partners such as contract transportation vendors.
- Ensure staff receive all new hire and annual trainings on time.
- Track deliverables for assigned program(s) on a regular basis.
- Ensure transportation operations are in compliance with grant and departmental requirements.
- Coordinate transportation for PACE participants to ensure that the transportation is on schedule, timelines are met and are at the highest level of operational efficiency.
- Coordinate schedules, cancel schedules, and reschedule trips as needed. Make adjustments to meet unanticipated changes and communicate those changes to the appropriate affected personnel.
- Model and promote service excellence by developing and maintaining positive and respectful relationships with PACE participants, families/caregivers, team members, and all staff throughout the organization.
- Investigate participant and caregiver complaints as assigned.
- Maintain all records for transportation, and ensure established policies and procedures are communicated and followed.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities and ensures appropriate Lean tools (i.e., 5S, A3) are deployed and results are evaluated and/or measured.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the skills, knowledge and ability to perform the essential job duties, and which meets any required state or federal certification requirements.
- Ability and means to travel as needed in a timely manner within San Diego County, to locations that may have limited access to public transportation; proof of liability and property damage insurance on vehicle used is required. DRIVER REQUIREMENTS: Licensed for a minimum of 3 years; No more than 2 violations and/or accidents within 3 years; No vehicle related suspensions/reinstatements; No DUI, reckless or felony Driving within 7 years.
Experience/Specialized skills (including Language)
- 3 years of experience with transportation scheduling, and organizing routes for pickup and drop off of clients served required, or equivalent combination of education, transportation scheduling, or transportation industry experience.
- Prior experience as a supervisor preferred.
- Knowledge of supervisory practices and techniques, including performance management and employee development.
- Prior experience working with the elderly population is desirable.
- Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to communicate with and relate to a diverse staff and clients in a courteous and professional manner.
- Ability and skills to effectively plan and organize assignments in the most efficient manner.
- Possess the ability to be flexible, and adaptable in a fast-paced changing environment.
- Knowledge of the San Diego area and surrounding communities.
- Knowledge of the functions and responsibilities of a Driver.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base range for this position, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses.
64,480.00 - 85,973.33If you are hired at Family Health Centers of San Diego, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, jurisdictional requirements, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to these factors - we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
