We are seeking a dynamic leader to provide technical expertise to meet government compliance and security requirements. In this role, you will guide and mentor our diverse team of security professionals in delivering IT security across multiple collateral and DoD classified enterprise networks. As the SecOps Section Supervisor, we will trust you to...

  • Leadership and Mentoring:
    • Lead and mentor a highly technical team delivering IT security services on multiple classified networks.
    • Manage daily operations to ensure timely service delivery, including metric reporting and service availability.
    • Recruit, develop, and mentor staff, facilitating their professional growth and setting clear expectations.
    • Help create, implement and maintain groups long term strategic mission
  • Project and Operations Management:
    • Support multiple client projects across various IT domains, ensuring high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.
    • Apply strong change and configuration management control methodologies.
    • Collaborate with the Classified Enterprise Services leadership team to develop and implement group and departmental projects, strategies, and objectives.
  • Risk Mitigation and Process Improvement:
    • Collaborate with Cyber Security Services Provider (CSSP), internal stakeholders and leadership to ensure continual DoD compliance/inspection readiness.
    • Focus on processes to mitigate business risks and service disruptions, delivering efficient services that meet customer needs.
    • Utilize IT service management tools for timely problem and incident resolution and service restoration.
    • Establish metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to gauge team efficiency and drive continual performance improvements.
  • Technical Expertise and Security Management:
    • Analyze data to improve the security posture of Collateral Networks, identify operational issues and respond to government regulation updates in a timely manner.
    • Support the installation and maintenance of entire Collateral security infrastructure across multiple separate classified networks.
    • Exploring avenues to enhance vulnerability management processes
    • Monitor and analyze logs for authorized and unauthorized activities on the network.

Qualifications

You meet the minimum requirements if you have....

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in security systems analysis and monitoring in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience supervising and mentoring technical security teams in fast-paced enterprise environments.
  • Expertise with enterprise security tools and capabilities, including ESS and ACAS in an organization with at least 200 devices.
  • Extensive knowledge configuring and troubleshooting Windows and Linux/Unix Operating Systems.
  • Advanced skills in assessing security controls based on cybersecurity principles.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance with eligibility requirements including U.S. citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Cyber Security or related field.
  • Recent experience supervising a vulnerability management team.
  • Hands-on, in-depth enterprise-level knowledge of networking, network security, VMware, enterprise storage, and server/data center services.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CEH, GCIH, CISSP).
