Description

We are seeking a self-motivated individual with strong technical, communication, and project management skills to handle key responsibilities including but not limited to: - Defining and delivering system and tools responsible for reliability and performance of on-prem and cloud-based services. - Defining and delivering services with worldwide support. - Advise and encourage engineering best SRE practices to deliver quality capabilities. - Define and grow a diverse and an extraordinary engineering team.
  • Proven record as a software engineering manager for at least 5 years of leading a team including DevOps engineers, or SRE engineers, or software engineers.
  • Ability to lead multiple projects under time constraints to achieve meaningful results.
  • Knowledge of distributed systems w.r.t. application, networking, s, and security.
  • Ability to mentor and develop a team, lead with engineering excellence, and maintain a dedication towards meeting the customer needs.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in development and deployment of software tools supporting internal groups.
  • Management experience working with globally distributed team.
  • SRE or DevOps experience managing customer-facing systems in a 24/7 environment.
  • Experience with employing data-driven approach through monitoring, alerting and data analysis.
  • Proficiency and passion to independently learn new technologies and SW frameworks to leverage.
  • Ability to work and influence across teams and organizations.


Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $208,300 and $360,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
