As our Substation Engineer, you will be a design engineer for new and ongoing substation projects. You will support multiple projects simultaneously given direction from a lead engineer or project manager. You will be working in small project teams to provide exceptional customer service and quality in deliverables to our clients.

Other responsibilities include:
- Responsible for technical delivery of power delivery engineering projects or tasks.
- Prepare calculations, studies, and reports for substation and power systems projects meeting internal and client standards and requirements.
- Apply engineering design principles and practices including formulas.
- Work with small project teams to execute substation projects.
- Responsible for providing weekly updates to Sr. team leaders and/or project managers on milestone progress, estimated completion dates including percent completion of activities and supporting information to monitor project progress.
We are seeking the following qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in the Substation/Power Delivery field.
- Experience with high voltage substation design (15kV through 500kV) activities such as preparing one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics and wiring diagrams, physical layouts, electrical elevations, plans (foundation, grounding, and raceway), and bills of materials including selection of non-standard equipment.
- Ability to interpret and apply standards including IEEE, IEC, NESC, and client standards.
- Experience with power system calculations (AC panel sizing, DC panel and battery sizing, Voltage Drop, Cable Sizing) is a plus.
- High voltage substation design experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of substation physical equipment is a plus.
- Knowledge of Protection and Controls design is a plus.
- S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- PE license is a plus.
The pay range for this California position is $90,000 to $150,000 per year; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
