The Program Manager I is responsible for management of a specific program or group of programs in a specialty/functional area including scheduling and budgeting activities, working in collaboration with leaders to implement the program's objectives in support of identified goals and the continuous improvement process. Responsible for monitoring the program's effectiveness and mobilizing stakeholders in support of continuous improvement to the program. Organizes interdepartmental activities ensuring ongoing effective program operation and/or implementation. Responsible for identifying opportunities to enhance or expand the program and presenting proposals to management. Oversees the process of executing initiatives essential for the success of the program, including communication with all stakeholders, both internal and external. May oversee and lead teams in support of the program's objectives.

This role works closely on the WIDEA team to cross-collaborate with other colleagues and stakeholders in the Health Equity & Anti-Racism (HEAR) department and People & Culture division of the organization to provide program management, and support workforce and leader consultations, employee retention strategies, community engagement and resource building across Seattle Children's.

 

The WIDEA Program Manager I provides direct program management support to Seattle Children's Inclusion Network & Connection Group programs (employee resource groups) and their respective leaders serving in chair, mentor liaison, executive champion and coordinator positions. Seattle Children’s Inclusion Network & Connection Group Programs support the organization’s commitments in the Health Equity and Anti-Racism Action Plan. They are employee-led groups open to all Seattle Children’s workforce members that foster an inclusive culture where everyone belongs. These programs and workforce members engage with the organization and community to yield positive outcomes and opportunities for workforce members, patients, and families.

 

This role will align with the organization's goal to create a diverse workforce that reflects our patients, families and the community we serve and will actively support Seattle Children's initiatives to build an organizational culture and inclusive work and care environment where everyone feels heard, respected and engaged. Strong communication, relationship management and leadership skills are required as well as a working knowledge and commitment to DEI, health equity, anti-racism and anti-oppression concepts and supportive frameworks with experience translating those initiatives through strategic organizational and operational change work.

 


Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, health care or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three (3) years experience in a lead role overseeing program/project management.
  • Three (3) years experience working on quality and process improvement projects with cross-functional teams; including data collection, analysis and reporting.
Proven record of project completion, program planning, execution and status reporting.
  • Experience leading committees, activities and staff.

Required Credentials
  • N/A.

Preferred
  • Experience working in public health, health care or social services.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Experience analyzing improvement data and working with internal clients to analyze and develop improvement strategies.
  • Experience project managing large complex organizational initiatives that cross all departments and roles.

 

Compensation Range

$92,477.00 - $138,715.00 per year

 

Salary Information

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.

This compensation range is specific to Seattle, positions located outside of Seattle may be compensated differently depending on various factors.
