*This is a part-time, non-permanent position which will work no more than 69 hours per month.*

South Puget Sound Community College (SPSCC) seeks candidates for a part-time Program Coordinator in Athletics.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for game management, supporting student employment, and assisting the Athletic Administration. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for athletics, and the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

What You'll Do

Game Coordination:


  • Coordinate and oversee game day operations, ensuring events run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Liaise with coaches, officials, and event staff to ensure all logistical needs are met.
  • Manage equipment and facilities setup and teardown for athletic events.
Student Employment Support:
  • Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising student workers for various athletic department roles.
  • Schedule Health and Wellness employees, ensure hours are being met, and confirming their timesheets are done correctly.
  • Provide ongoing support and feedback to enhance Health and Wellness employee are being successful.
Athletic Administration Assistance:
  • Support administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and maintaining records.
  • Assist in the coordination of special projects and events within the athletic department.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Assist in academic support services for student-athletes.

 

Qualifications You Possess

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in the program specialty OR equivalent education/experience.

Employment with the college is contingent upon the successful completion of a comprehensive background check. Conditions of Part-Time Employment
Non-permanent employees under the provisions of WAC 357-19-435 are only authorized to work up to a maximum of 18 months from the original date of hire. Employment with the college could end any time.
