Executive Director

Mountain Child Advocacy Center in Asheville, North Carolina is seeking an experienced leader for Executive Director to lead and grow their accredited nonprofit. The Executive Director provides overall administrative management, leadership, vision, and direction of the agency in fulfilling its mission of increasing awareness, reducing/preventing child abuse, strengthening families, and assisting children and families who have experienced abuse, through prevention, education, and counseling. The Executive Director is responsible for operational, strategic, programmatic, and fiscal goals and achievements.

The ideal candidate is forward thinking rather than reactive and has experience in fund development, nonprofit management, and implementing evidence-based practices. This candidate will be building community relationships towards system change, donor development and collaborative relationships, building awareness of the needs of children in the region and speaking to a variety of internal and external stakeholders such as employees, DSS, law enforcement and City Council and County Commissioners. This individual will also need to support DEI practices into becoming systemic in the culture and have a strong commitment to NCA CAC standards of accreditation.

Organization

Mountain CAC leads a multi-agency effort with a mission to reduce child abuse incidents and to treat and advocate for those children who have suffered from abuse. Mountain CAC became NCA accredited in 2004 and now has two offices in Asheville that function as a hub for services provided to the community.

We have approximately 12 employees with an annual budget over 1 million dollars.

Qualifications

Required Education:

· Bachelor’s Degree

· Fund development including grants

· High Emotional & social intelligence

· System change

· Public administration and operations experience

· Budgeting and finance

· Building a supportive organizational culture

· Nonprofit servant leadership

· Public speaking

· Operational knowledge of implementing and sustaining in evidence-based practices

· Program Management

· Community & Public Relations

Preferred Education & Experience:

· Master’s degree

· 7+ years of experience in child welfare arena

· CAC experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
