Responsibilities:
The Employee Relations Coordinator will provide service and support to team members and leadership in the area of employee relations, assisting and advising management on employee issues and providing management/team member training.

Advises, guides and partners with managers on all matters relating to employee relations.
- Conducts investigations for Compliance Line Calls and other employee relations issues.
- Develops effective relationships to promote positive employee relations across the organization.
- Monitors trends in employment practices and advises on appropriate proactive action.
- Remains current with Federal, State, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and human rights guidelines, Title VII, ADAA, FLSA and other HR related laws and regulations.
- Attends meetings/in-services and present information in department and other meetings as requested.
- Engages, collaborates and partners with all levels of management to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Serves in an advisory capacity to leadership and staff on employee relations issues; ensuring consistent application of relevant law and the organization’s policies and procedures. This may include counselings and terminations.
- Participates in unemployment hearings and prepare managers for hearing.
- Disputes resolution process: Receive disputes and begin review process, schedule mediations and panels – gather all necessary documentation; act as timer for dispute resolution panel hearings.
- Exhibits analytical, problem solving and organization skills, ability to prioritize multiple assignments, adapt to changing priorities and situations and follow through on the completion of assignments by deadlines.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree; Associates degree and two (2) years of directly related work experience may substitute for the Bachelor’s degree. Three (3) years of experience in Human Resources or related field.
