As the Director of People and Culture, you'll be the heartbeat of our organization, the steward of our culture, and the champion of our most valuable asset—our people. Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll serve as a trusted advisor whose insights and leadership will be instrumental in shaping the core ethos and values of Chiefs for Change. Your influence will extend beyond traditional HR functions, touching every aspect of our organization, from talent acquisition to employee well-being, from diversity and inclusion to leadership development.

What You'll Do: Your Impact and Influence
People Operations & Talent Management:
- Strategic HR Leadership: Develop comprehensive HR strategies that align with our organizational goals and values.
- Talent Maestro: Oversee the full talent management lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management and succession planning.
- Employee Advocate: Manage employee relations, ensuring a harmonious workplace and compliance with employment laws.
- Compensation Guru: Design and implement compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain top talent.
- Culture Champion: Foster an inclusive culture through DEI initiatives and employee engagement programs.
- Data-Driven HR: Utilize HR metrics and analytics to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
- Legal Liaison: Collaborate with legal counsel and other stakeholders to address compliance and risk management issues.
Who You Are: Qualifications and Skills
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: At least 3-5 years of progressive experience in human resources, focusing on talent management, organizational development, diversity, equity, and inclusion. Experience in a nonprofit or education-focused organization is strongly preferred.
- Certifications: HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) is preferred.
- Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in compliance and risk management, operational strategy and planning, project and program management, and vendor management and procurement.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence across all levels of the organization.
- Commitment: Demonstrated commitment to Chiefs for Change's mission and values.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workplace and HRIS systems.

So here's the deal: The salary range for this role is between $108,304 and $173,286, with a midpoint of $140,795. We're updating our approach and setting the starting offers at 95% of the midpoint. For this role, that would be $133,755. And you know what? We keep it that way for everyone. No haggling, no back-and-forth. Why? Because your worth to us isn't about your ability to negotiate; it's about your ability to contribute to our mission and make a lasting impact.
